I’ve had different watches with different types of bands: leather, metal, resin – all of them were mediocre in the comfort department. This watch is different. After removing 3 links and moving a link from one side to another, it fit like a glove. Not too tight and not too loose so that it falls to the base of my palm. This is the most comfortable watch I’ve ever worn. I bought my first G-Shock watch in the 80′s – that’s still running. This seemed like a natural progression upwards and I was right. Per usual, everything works fine, the atomic synchronization occurs every night at 1am – all the features work very well. The titanium casing and band makes this watch very light and often-times I forget that I’m wearing it.
It arrived with the battery indicator at “M” and within one hour in a sunlit room (not direct sunlight) the arrow pointed to “H”. The links were easily removed with a straight pointed scribe and a needle-nosed plier. There are arrows on every link pointing to the direction in which the pins should be pushed out.
The slim profile makes it comfortable even under jackets with tight sleeves or dress shirts. I’ve already dropped it a couple of times on concrete – not a scratch on the face or the band. It fits well on my thin 6.5″ wrist – the face is not overly huge like the other pathfinder watches due to this watch’s slim profile.
