The watch comes in a plain cheap carton box, nothing to give someone as a gift already….the box doesnt look appealing at all.
The temperature reading is totally off. It has been off since I got it 2 weeks ago and now I have to figure out how to calibrate it. When it freezes outside it says it is 71 degrees F. Nice !!! I better check the compass and altitude meter !!!!!!
The watch looks ok, but I find the material used all TOO plastic….
Also the watch goes up to the year 2039 only …. so they know by then it will definitely be broken

The construction of the watch is not what others have said even with their war stories and adventures. I have been in some places that most would never want to be and survival is based on your intellect and who you know. The watch functions pretty well while in the box but has trouble standing up to ruff conditions (which the company claims it can). I was given the watch to use and within a few weeks the the pin (which holds the band to the watch) was ripped from the watch and in turn damage the watch so as not to be useable. This is not my definition of a tough watch. If I was to draw any conclusion from this I would say this watch is great as long as you don’t wear it while doing any physical labor. It doesn’t have to be high tech to perform well. My advice is – Dive watches do what they were designed to do and they are made for ruff conditions. I have had a Casio watch for about a year and now the watchband needs replaced. I was informed by Walmart that they cannot replace a Casio watchband. I called Casio and they told me that as far as they know NO CASIO WATCHBAND CAN BE REPLACED BY A NORMAL WATCHBAND! I had to order a watchband from Casio and they had to know which model it was before I ordered it. Total price: $12.00 shipping, handling and sales tax included. I then asked the representative if instructions would be included because it was a different type of setup instead of pins. HE SAID THAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO RECOMMEND TAKING THE BAND TO A JEWELER TO HAVE IT PUT ON!! Watches are kinda like Flashlights…. I use this one all the time.. I Like the big Dial, Easy to see.. etc…
Had it like 3+ years now,,,, Replaced BATTS on it, before too… Takes 2 Batts…
Nice Device, Good for Camping too, and Travel/ Alaska again someday? / COMPASS TOO~!
